Flip dip switch position 4 to OPEN
Plug the SDK into power using the supplied cable (T11927)
Plug the SDK into the PC with the USB-C to PC cable
Ensure the 2 single wire connectors are not connected
Plug the TE device into power using the Male USB A connector of the T18912-1 or T18912-3 cable
Plug the 120 Ohm terminating resistor in the DB9 connector of the T18912-X cable
Plug the Gridconnect USB/CAN Adaptor into the other end of the 120 Ohm terminating resistor and the PC
Setup:
Ensure the 2 single wire connectors are not connected
Plug the TE device into power using the Female USB A connector of the T18912-2 or T18912-4 cable and the Male USB A to PC cable.
Update Firmware
Identify the current firmware using the Utility App. To access the Utility App, flip dip switch position 4 to CLOSED, remove power from the device, wait 3 seconds, and then resupply power. After the unit has finished booting up, tap Utilities and then Info. This screen will show the current firmware version next to the "TE-FW:" heading, which should match the latest release version.

Steps to Update Firmware or Project from a file location
Download and save the latest released firmware .tepkg or relevant Project .zip locally on the PC
Open GUIDE
Click Upload to device
Navigate to and select the latest released firmware
Click Open
Wait for the update to complete
Create a GUIDE Project File
Steps to Update a Project from the GUIDE Workspace
Open GUIDE
Select the Project to be uploaded to the connected Touch Encoder
Click Upload to device
Wait until the Upload is complete
When the "Done updating device" window appears, click "OK"
The TE is now running the newly made Project file
